We had the opportunity to participate in the 6th Conference of the Tanzanian Association for Kiswahili Language and Literature (CHALUFAKITA), where we presented a paper on “The Impact of Stigmatizing Language on the HIV/AIDS Response in the Country.”
The conference was opened by the Deputy Minister of Arts, Culture, and Sports, Hon. Hamis Mohamed Mwijuma (MP), who praised NACOPHA for being at the forefront of using Kiswahili language platforms to educate the public about HIV and AIDS issues.
This event underscores the importance of language in shaping societal attitudes and the crucial role of Kiswahili in disseminating vital information on HIV/AIDS. We remain committed to leveraging linguistic platforms to fight stigma and promote awareness.
