NACOPHA Team Visits Prime Minister’s Office in Dodoma
On May 9, 2023, a delegation from the National Council of People Living with HIV (NACOPHA) visited the Prime Minister’s Office in Dodoma. Among the delegates was Mr. Deogratias Peter Rutatwa, the Executive Officer of NACOPHA, along with other team members.
During their visit, the NACOPHA team met with the Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Parliament, and Coordination), Dr. Jim James Yonazi.
The purpose of the visit was to express appreciation to the government for its support and empowerment of people living with HIV (PLHIV). Additionally, the team aimed to discuss ongoing efforts in responding to HIV/AIDS and to explore opportunities for collaboration with various stakeholders across the country.
Dr. Yonazi commended NACOPHA for its dedication and contributions to the fight against HIV/AIDS, acknowledging the importance of partnership and cooperation in achieving sustainable progress.
This meeting signifies the continued partnership between the government and NACOPHA in addressing the challenges posed by HIV/AIDS. It underscores the commitment of both parties to work together towards a future free from the burden of HIV/AIDS in Tanzania.
