NACOPHA (the National Council of People Living with HIV in Tanzania) and its development partner, Twende Technologies, are committed to protecting children and to keeping the NACOPHA Membership App a safe place for everyone who uses it. These standards apply to the app published on Google Play as org.nacopha.membership.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)

We strictly prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, on or through the NACOPHA Membership App. This includes, and is not limited to:
Tunakataza kabisa unyanyasaji na ukatili wa kingono kwa watoto (CSAE) pamoja na picha au maudhui ya ukatili wa kingono kwa watoto (CSAM), kwa namna yoyote, ndani ya au kupitia programu ya Uanachama wa NACOPHA. Hii inajumuisha, bila kuishia hapo:
- Creating, uploading, sharing, requesting or distributing CSAM. Kutengeneza, kupakia, kusambaza, kuomba au kueneza CSAM.
- Grooming, sexual extortion, trafficking, or sexualising a minor in any way. Kumshawishi mtoto kwa nia ya kingono, kumtishia ili kupata maudhui ya kingono, biashara haramu ya binadamu, au kumfanyia mtoto jambo lolote la kingono.
- Any other content or conduct that sexually exploits, endangers or abuses a child. Maudhui au mwenendo mwingine wowote unaomnyanyasa mtoto kingono, unaomweka hatarini au unaomdhulumu.
Any account found doing this is removed at once, and we report the violation to the relevant authorities.

The app gives users a way to report concerns, including suspected child safety violations or CSAM. Our team reviews every report and acts on it promptly. You may also write directly to the child-safety contact below.

How we handle CSAM

Any CSAM found through a user report, our own moderation, or a notice from a third party is taken down as fast as we can. We preserve the evidence the law requires us to keep, disable the accounts involved, and report confirmed cases to the child-protection and law-enforcement authorities, including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) where that applies.

The app is for adults

NACOPHA membership is for people aged 18 and over. The app has no public profiles, no messaging between users, and no way to upload photographs or video, so there is no surface on which a child could be contacted or such material shared. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we delete any account we find to belong to one.

Programu haina wasifu wa hadhara, haina mawasiliano kati ya watumiaji, na haina njia ya kupakia picha au video, hivyo hakuna nafasi ya mtoto kufikiwa au maudhui hayo kusambazwa. Compliance with child safety laws

We comply with the child safety laws of Tanzania, including the Law of the Child Act, and with those of every jurisdiction where the app is available. We cooperate with law enforcement and child-protection agencies in the investigation of CSAE.
